Once you place an order on Nom404, you can follow its progress from start to finish. Here is what each status means and how notifications work.

Order statuses explained

Your order moves through these stages:

Pending

Your order has been sent to the business but they have not responded yet. This usually takes just a minute or two.

Confirmed

The business has accepted your order. If your order included modifications, they may accept or reject individual changes at this stage.

Preparing

Your food is being made. Sit tight — it should not be long now.

Ready

Your order is done. If you selected pickup, head to the counter. If you are at a table, the staff is on their way.

Completed

You have received your order. You may be asked to leave a review or rate your experience.

Push notifications

If you are using the Nom404 app, you will receive a push notification every time your order moves to the next stage. This means you can put your phone away and you will be alerted when something changes.

Notifications include:

  • Order confirmed by the business
  • Order is being prepared
  • Order is ready for pickup
  • Modification accepted or rejected
  • Payment verified or rejected

Tip: Make sure notifications are enabled for the Nom404 app in your phone's settings. If you ordered through the browser, you will not receive push notifications — check the order status by going back to the site.

Following up on slow orders

If your order seems to be taking a while, you can send a follow-up message directly through the app. Tap on your active order and use the follow-up option to let the business know you are waiting.

Keep in mind that during busy hours, preparation times may be longer than usual. The business can see all pending orders and is working through them in order.

Your receipt

Once your order is placed, you can open your receipt from the order screen. The receipt is designed to work as real proof of purchase and shows:

  • The business name, address, and contact number
  • Order type — either Pickup, or Table Delivery with your table number
  • Every item you ordered, with quantities and modifications
  • The name of the staff member who served you
  • Your payment method (GCash, Maya, or Cash) and the reference number for digital payments — handy for matching against your GCash or Maya history
  • Your tip (if you left one) and the total you paid

Save your receipt to Photos

Tap the Download button at the top of the receipt screen to save it as an image. It lands in your phone's Photos or Gallery, inside a Nom404 album so your receipts stay together.

From there you can share it however you like — email it to yourself for an expense report, forward it to someone you dined with, or keep it as a backup. The download is free and always available after you place an order.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order while it is still in the Pending status — before the business confirms it. Once the business confirms your order, cancellation is no longer available through the app.

If you need to cancel a confirmed order, speak directly with the business staff. If you already paid via GCash or Maya, the business will handle the refund.

Note: Refund policies vary by business. Nom404 does not process payments directly, so refunds are handled between you and the business.
