For Customers
Do I need to download the app to order?
No. You can scan the QR code with your phone camera and order through the browser. However, the app gives you push notifications, order history, loyalty rewards, and saved favorites.
Can I order without creating an account?
Yes. Guest ordering only requires your name. You can browse the menu, customize items, and pay without signing up. If you want order history and loyalty points, create a free account.
Can I cancel an order?
You can cancel while the order is still pending (before the business confirms it). Once the business starts preparing your food, cancellation is no longer available. Contact the business directly in that case.
What if I lose internet while ordering?
If you are using the app, your order is saved locally. When your connection returns, the app will automatically submit it. If you are using the browser, you may need to re-add items to your cart.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the business directly. Contact them through the order details screen or reach out to support@nom404.com if you need help.
My allergen is not listed. What should I do?
Nom404 supports the FDA Big 9 allergens plus vegetarian and vegan tags. If your specific allergy is not covered by the tags, use the special instructions field to inform the kitchen. Always note that businesses cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation.
Can I order from multiple businesses at the same time?
Your cart is tied to one business at a time. If you scan a different business's QR code, you will be asked to clear your current cart or finish your existing order first.
How do I know when my order is ready?
If you are using the app, you will receive a push notification at each stage — confirmed, preparing, and ready. If you ordered through the browser, check the order tracking page (the link is shown after you place your order).

Every menu item can be tagged with allergens (the FDA Big 9 plus vegetarian/vegan). Customers set their dietary profile once, and the system flags conflicts before they order. This means near-zero wrong orders from dietary restrictions — no wasted supplies, no wasted prep time.
How hard is it to set up?
Zero headaches. No tech complexity — setup takes about 10 minutes, and you can be live in a day. We handle the onboarding for you. Your staff doesn't need to relearn anything because our platform is built around what you already do. If your staff can use a phone or tablet, they can use Nom404.
What if there's no internet connection?
Because our system is built on top of your existing processes, you can always fall back to traditional operations. Behind the scenes, our system queues orders — when internet returns, everything syncs automatically. In practice, our businesses rarely encounter this issue because customers use their own mobile data, and many shops provide Wi-Fi.
How does Nom404 make money?
We win when you win. We don't take any commissions from your revenue — you keep what you make. We only charge a flat monthly subscription. No hidden fees, no per-order cuts, no surprises.
Will my customers actually use this?
You don't need 100% adoption overnight. Even partial adoption already reduces ordering hassle for your staff. It takes time, but people get used to it quickly — especially since they don't need to download anything. We made the system so simple that nobody needs to spend time learning it.
Do I lose control over my operations?

How do I get my QR code?
After registering your business, go to the QR Code page in your dashboard. Download it in different sizes — sticker, table tent, or poster. Print it and place it where customers can see it.
Can I use Nom404 alongside my existing POS?
Yes. Nom404 works independently of your POS. Orders appear on your dashboard and the staff tablet app. Run both systems side by side — no conflicts.
Can my staff see the dashboard?
Yes. Invite staff from the Staff page and assign roles (Manager, Staff, Kitchen) that control what they can see and do. Staff can also use the dedicated tablet app for order management and kitchen display.
What payment methods are supported?
GCash, Maya, credit/debit cards, QRPH, InstaPay, PESONet, GrabPay, BillEase — all major Philippine payment methods. Plus cash. Payments go directly to you — we never touch your money.
I have multiple branches. Can I manage them all?
Yes. Our Pro plan supports up to 5 branches with shared menu templates — update once, sync everywhere. Each branch can override prices and availability. For larger operations (20+ branches), our Enterprise tier handles it with bulk management tools, cross-branch loyalty, and staff transfers.
Can I add a co-owner to my business?
Yes. Open Settings > Owners on the dashboard, tap Invite co-owner, and enter their email. They receive an email with a redeem link, click Continue with Google using the same email, and they land in the dashboard with full owner-level access on both web and the iOS companion app. Any owner can invite or remove other owners. Can I require owner approval before staff can void an order?
Yes. Turn on Order Void Approval in Settings. After that, every staff cancel attempt sends a time-sensitive push to your iPhone with Approve and Deny buttons — you can act straight from the lock screen. Set a 6-digit offline PIN as fallback for when you cannot be reached. Requests time out after 5 minutes. Every void is logged with reason, requester, approver, and method (push or PIN).
Does Nom404 issue BIR-compliant official receipts?
Yes. If your business is BIR-registered, turn on BIR Invoice Mode in Settings and walk through the onboarding wizard (TIN, Machine ID, Terminal Serial, permit number, receipt series). Every order from that point prints a BIR-compliant receipt. Senior Citizen and PWD discounts are logged end-to-end with the customer's ID details, the 20 percent discount, and the VAT exemption — exactly as BIR requires. You can also export the sales journal as a CSV for monthly filings.
Do you support Senior Citizen and PWD discounts?
Yes, end-to-end. With BIR Invoice Mode on, staff taps Add SC/PWD discount on the order, types the customer's name and ID number, and the 20 percent discount plus VAT exemption are applied automatically. The receipt prints all the required fields and the discount is logged so you can pull the SC/PWD register on demand.
Do you have a daily insights email?
Yes. Every morning at the start of your business day, you receive an email summary covering yesterday's revenue, orders, top items, ratings, and anything that needs attention. There is also a push version delivered at the same time, plus a Monday-morning weekly digest. All three are opt-in/opt-out from Settings > Notifications.
Can I run my business from my iPhone?
Yes. Nom Business is the iOS companion app for owners. It covers the always-on-hand workflows: a live orders board with push notifications, payment-verification with proof viewer, today's revenue/order/average-ticket glance, menu availability toggles, customer reviews with reply (with a louder alert for 1- and 2-star reviews), one-tap emergency close and reopen for outages, branch switcher for multi-branch groups, and order history search. The full menu builder, refunds, campaigns, and subscription management still live on the web dashboard. Same login.
