Pay for Your Nom Plan by Card, GCash, InstaPay or Bank

Running a cafe means your cash flow moves week to week. Some months are busy, some are quiet, and the last thing you want is a subscription that silently charges a card you forgot about. That is why paying for your Nom plan just got more flexible: you can now settle each billing period with a one-time card payment alongside the e-wallet and bank options you already know.

Here is the short version. You choose how you pay, you pay for the period you are in, and nothing renews behind your back. Below we walk through the new payment options, why we deliberately chose one-time-per-period over locked-in auto-renew, and how to switch your payment method whenever your plan comes up for renewal.

More ways to pay your Nom subscription

You can now pay for your plan using whichever method is easiest for your business that month:

  • Card — Visa, Mastercard, or JCB. Handy if your business expenses run through a company or personal card for cleaner bookkeeping.
  • GCash — pay straight from your e-wallet, the same way many of your own customers pay you.
  • InstaPay — for a quick real-time transfer from most Philippine banks.
  • UnionBank — pay directly from your UnionBank account.
  • PESONet — useful for larger transfers processed in batches through your bank.

The point is not to overwhelm you with options. It is to make sure that whether you keep your operating money in a bank, a wallet, or on a card, there is always a clean way to keep your Nom plan active without jumping through hoops.

Why we chose one-time payments over locked-in auto-renew

Plenty of software forces you into an auto-renewing card on file. We chose the opposite on purpose, and it comes down to respect for how PH F&B owners actually run their money.

You stay in control of every peso that leaves your account

With one-time-per-period billing, a charge only happens when you decide to pay for the next period. There is no card quietly getting hit at 2 a.m. while your shop is closed. For a small cafe watching daily cash flow, that predictability matters more than the convenience of never thinking about it.

No surprise charges, no forgotten trials

We have all been burned by a subscription that renewed on a card we stopped using. When you pay per period, there is nothing to forget and nothing to dispute later. You see the renewal, you approve it, it is done. If a slow month means you want to pause and come back, you are never fighting to cancel before a hidden charge lands.

It matches how your own diners pay

Your customers tap GCash or scan a QR when they are ready to pay, not before. Your subscription should feel the same. One clear payment for one clear period keeps the relationship honest on both sides.

How to switch payment methods at renewal

Because each period is paid on its own, changing how you pay is simple. Nothing is welded to a single card. When your plan is due for renewal, you pick the method that suits you that month.

  • Go to your subscription or billing area in the Nom dashboard.
  • When your renewal comes up, choose your payment method for this period.
  • Confirm the payment and your plan stays active. Next period, you can choose a completely different method.

Say you paid by GCash last month because takings were strong, but this month you would rather put the plan on your business card for cleaner records. You simply select the card option at your next renewal. No need to remove an old card, no support ticket, no waiting. The same freedom applies in reverse if a card is maxed out near the end of a busy season and you would rather transfer via InstaPay.

What this does not change

Everything you already rely on stays exactly the same. Your menu, live orders board, payment verification, analytics, reviews, and loyalty all keep running as normal. There is still no commission per order and no lock-in — you can cancel monthly anytime, and the free tier remains free. The only thing that changed is that you now have more comfortable, more flexible ways to keep your plan going.

It is worth being clear on one thing too: how you pay us for your plan is separate from how your diners pay for their orders. Your customers keep paying you directly through GCash, Maya, QRPH, or cash exactly as before. This update is only about giving you, the owner, an easier way to settle your own subscription.

Ready to pick your payment method?

Flexible billing is one less thing to worry about so you can focus on the coffee, the queue, and the regulars who keep coming back. If you are already on Nom, your new payment options are waiting at your next renewal. If you are still deciding, take a look at what each plan includes and start on the free tier with no card required.
