Where StoreHub is genuinely better
They've been at this longer. There are real things they do better today. If any of these matter to you more than zero commission and zero hardware, StoreHub is the right call.
BIR-accredited POS today
StoreHub is on BIR's accredited POS list right now. Nom404's accreditation is in progress (LAUNCH-003) but not live. If you absolutely need an accredited POS for your VAT register today, this is a real factor.
Mature recipe + inventory tracking
StoreHub's ingredient-level inventory and recipe management is more developed. Nom404 covers stock counts and sold-out badges; if you need full recipe-card costing and waste tracking, StoreHub is further along.
Hardware bundles on demand
If you actually want a touch-screen POS with a cash drawer and printer ready out of the box, StoreHub sells the bundle. Nom404 supports ESC-POS thermal printers via Web Bluetooth but doesn't ship hardware.
Years of operations behind them
StoreHub has been in PH for years and has run thousands of restaurants. They have known patterns for chains with complex back-of-house. Nom404 is newer and still proving itself at every scale.
Where Nom404 wins by design
These aren't roadmap items — they're structural choices that competitors can't reverse without rewriting their stack.
Zero hardware lock-in
Customer phones are the ordering devices. Your laptop or tablet is the back office. No ₱24K–34K per outlet for terminals you'll outgrow. A 5-outlet rollout that costs StoreHub ~₱125K in hardware costs Nom404 ₱0.
Zero commission on payments
Customer payments go directly to your account via HitPay (or your existing GCash/Maya). Nom404 never sees the money and never takes a cut. We make money on the flat monthly subscription, not your sales volume.
Month-to-month, no lock-in
Cancel any month. No annual contracts, no early-termination fees. If we're not earning our keep you walk away. That alignment forces us to ship.
Allergen safety first-class
Customers store dietary profiles once. Items conflicting with their allergens are flagged before they order. Kitchen sees a red allergen banner on incoming orders. Most POS systems treat this as a free-text note — we treat it as a structured field with FDA Big 9 + PH-specific tags.
Built and owned in the Philippines
Local payment quirks (BillEase, QRPH, InstaPay reference number formats) work because the founders live here. Roadmap reflects what PH café and restaurant owners actually ask for — not what's already shipped in Malaysia or Singapore.
